FAQ
Third-Party Risk Management

Is a SOC 2 report enough for a vendor risk assessment?

A SOC 2 report can provide valuable independent assurance over a defined system, scope and examination period, but it does not answer every vendor-risk question. Reviewers still need to confirm that the report covers the service they use, understand exceptions and complementary controls, and assess risks that sit outside the report. Other evidence may be needed for privacy, resilience, subcontracting, current external exposure and relationship-specific risk.
